Before Pictures of the House

Here are a few "before" pictures of the house. We have already put in countless hours on the house. Luckily for us, my parents live in the same town and are willing to sacrifice their summer to help us get this house the way we want it. We have already learned so much from them and they continue to be a big help!

The backyard looking at the back of the house. We had to fix the deck to make the gaps less than 4 inches before we closed on the house, so that needs re-stained now.

The partially finished master bedroom in the basement. Don't worry, the "curtains" (sheet) was the first thing to go in this room! This bedroom will be our first project on the basement so that we can move out of Jaxson's room and into our own before his arrival.

The storage room in the basement. We are planning on keeping part of this enormous room as storage with shelves, but the rest will be part of the living room.

The upstairs and only bathroom for the moment. Eventually there will be one downstairs as well.

The split level entry way. Not my favorite entry, but it's been fine.

The living room. Don't you love the nasty walls that have the original paint from the 80's along with the heat marks from the electric heater??

The dining room. We had a new chandelier for this long before we closed on the house!

The kitchen. It is narrow, but it's not as bad as it looks. The fridge is now pushed against the wall and the counter so it doesn't stick out so far.
